Zone Horror Standard Terms and Conditions: Message Board and Chatroom Code of Conduct
‘Zone Horror’ is a brand of Chello Zone.
We've established these rules so that everyone can get the most out of the Chello Zone Message Boards. These rules protect all users by making sure the boards are safe and fun for everyone.
• Contributions must respect other contributors: there must be no disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour.
• Contributions should be constructive and polite, and must not be submitted to cause trouble.
• No contributions may be unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material under any circumstances. Such conduct may result in legal action or reporting to the relevant authorities for further investigation
• Using multiple logins for the purpose of disruption or annoyance may result in action taken against your accounts.
• Please be patient and polite: users of all sensitivities, ages and abilities may be taking part in the relevant Chello Zone Community.
• No spamming, promotion or advertising by contributors shall be tolerated, including the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times. Do not re-submit your contribution to more than one discussion, or contribute off-topic material in subject-specific areas.
• Contributions containing plot developments which haven't yet been transmitted will be deleted unless submitted in a designated 'spoilers' area.
• Contributions containing languages other than English may be removed unless allowed in the relevant local house rules.
• No impersonation or misinformation of any kind shall be tolerated.
• No inappropriate (e.g. vulgar, offensive etc) user names shall be tolerated.
• No reference to specific URLs shall be tolerated. If you know of a worthy web site relevant to the discussion topic, please inform the host of the Community area for approval.
• Deliberate misuse of the complaints facility is not permitted. If you persist in doing this action may be taken against your account.
Chello Zone welcomes feedback, both positive and negative, about our programmes and services but please make sure your comments are in line with the above rules.
Repeatedly posting personal or offensive comments about individual members of the public or people who work for Chello Zone may be considered harassment. We reserve the right to remove such messages and take action against those responsible.
Safety:
We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (including full name, occupation, telephone number, home address, email address, bank or credit card details). If you have a helpful address to share, inform the host of the relevant community area using the 'Contact Us' link, and they will promote it if they see fit.
About the law:
• You may not submit any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in Chello Zone communities. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio.
• Contributing material with the intention of committing or promoting an illegal act is strictly prohibited.
• You agree to only post materials which are your own original work. You may not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights.
If you're under 16
• Please get your parents' permission before taking part in any discussion.
• Never reveal any personal information about yourself (for example: your telephone number, mobile phone number, school name, home address or email address). Please consult your parents or any other person that you trust in the event that anyone asks you for such details, including people that you believe to be also under 16.
If you breach these rules:
• You will be sent an e-mail which informing you why your contribution has been failed or edited and including a warning that continuing to break the rules may result in action being taken against your account or accounts
• Action may be taken to include your relevant account or accounts being placed into pre-moderation or a temporary or permanent suspension of your ability to participate in any or all of Chello Zone’s community areas
• Chello Zone may use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop any further such infringements. This may include informing relevant third parties such as the police, your employer, school or email provider about the infringement/s. Chello Zone reserves the right to delete any contribution, or take action against any account, at any time, for any reason.
